Feb 9, 2011 Social Media Week Toronto #smwto I was doing so much tweeting out from various events (my volunteer Tshirt was a convenient all-access pass!), and @NatAndMarie were some of the first to tweet out to me a personal invite to their event. I hadn't planned to attend their event and *thought* I had never been to The Yorkville Media Centre (I had, it's @BNotions location). So anyway I am so glad they invited me and that I did attend - Marie was kind enough to to take a few minutes after their session to chat with me about the value she's seen Community Managers bring to her life - helping her get phone, cable and other services sorted out when moving from a small town to Toronto... networking with community managers to get jobs, negotiating sponsorships and really create a supportive community of helpful, nice like-minded people.
